Katherine Therieau is Regional Manager of Western Hemisphere, Advocacy Center, International Trade Administration, managing advocacy cases in Brazil, Peru, Chile, Guyana, Suriname, and the Caribbean. The mission of the Advocacy Center is to marshal USG resources and authority to level the playing field on behalf of U.S. business interests as they compete against foreign firms for specific international contracts or other U.S. export opportunities. As a member of the Advocacy Center team, Kathy works with clients to devise customized advocacy strategies in targeted export markets, tying in the support of up to 14 U.S. Government agencies involved in international trade. Prior to working for the Advocacy Center, for over 25 years, Katherine was employed by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation (RI Commerce) in partnership with the John H. Chafee Center for International Business at Bryant University as Director, International Trade Programs. Kathy has dedicated her professional career to assisting exporters on all aspects of international trade.
