Dr. Eisinger has been a cancer researcher for more than 20 years, obtaining her PhD at the University of Virginia and publishing in high impact journals including Molecular Cell, Cancer Discovery, PNAS, and the Journal of Clinical Investigation. Before taking the helm as full-time CEO of SyzOnc in July 2024, Dr. Eisinger held the Ann B, Young endowed assistant professorship in cancer biology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Her laboratory was funded by the National Cancer Institute, the Department of Defense, the State of Pennsylvania, The Steps to Cure Sarcoma organization, and the Sarcoma Foundation of America, among other philanthropic resources. Dr. Eisinger had been an academic independent investigator for 10 years and left academia to lead SyzOnc full-time.
