Dr. Juan Francisco Cabello is a pediatric neurologist and international expert in rare and metabolic diseases. He serves as Adjunct Faculty in Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital and is the Senior Vice President for Latin America at Uncommon Cures. Originally trained in Chile, Dr. Cabello work at the National Referral Center for Metabolic Diseases (INTA) at the University of Chile and has held leadership roles in both academia and government, including advisory committees on rare diseases and high-cost drug access. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications on inborn errors of metabolism and newborn screening, and has delivered invited lectures across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. His work bridges clinical care, policy, and ethics to advance equity in rare disease diagnostics and treatment worldwide.
