John D. O’Neill, PhD is Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Xylyx Bio. He is a world-leading bioengineer, with over a decade of executive leadership experience and an extensive publication and patent portfolio. John is deeply committed to translating and commercializing high-impact, real-world solutions to address the organ shortage crisis using advanced bioengineering approaches to produce human organ grafts for clinical transplantation. He is a co-inventor of Xylyx’s patented cross-circulation platform for ex vivo organ bioengineering (issued patent: US11968974B2), among other patents, and leads an interdisciplinary team working to establish the company’s organ bioengineering platform. John did his doctoral and post-doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University.
