Dr. Ji Yeon Hong earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. With over 20 years of experience in biomedical research and business development, she has built a distinguished career at the intersection of science and industry. Dr. Hong began her professional journey as a Research Professor at Yonsei University, followed by leadership roles in various biopharmaceutical companies including Eyegene Inc., Daewoong Pharmaceuticals, and NOBO Medicine. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to R&D strategy, innovation partnerships, and the advancement of biopharmaceutical assets. Currently, Dr. Hong serves as the Head of Business Development at IMBiologics Corp., where she is responsible for the global out-licensing of the company’s proprietary assets. Her role involves identifying strategic partnership opportunities, leading negotiations, and managing collaborative alliances to drive commercialization success. Dr. Hong’s extensive background in translational science, coupled with her strong business acumen, enables her to effectively bridge scientific innovation with strategic business objectives.
