Dr. Javier Dávila Torres, Director General for Planning and Evaluation and Head of the Pharmaceutical Industry and Medical Equipment Division at the Ministry of Economy. Dr. Dávila holds a degree in Maxillofacial Surgery from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, with specialized training in cranio-maxillofacial deformities and trauma, as well as in health systems management. He serves on the Board of Directors and acts as the Mexico Representative for the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, an organization with presence in 50 countries. Dr. Dávila is a frequent national and international speaker and has authored several academic publications on health-related topics. His public service career includes serving as National Director of Medical Benefits at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and as Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Federal Secretary of Health. He previously served as Director General for Technical and Scientific Cooperation at AMEXCID within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
