Dr. Majid Al Fayyadh is Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC), a leading tertiary/quaternary healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia and the region. Dr. Al Fayyadh leads KFSHRC through an unprecedented transformational journey focused on medical and clinical excellence, research and education, quality, and financial sustainability. This is in line with the commitment to Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program and the government’s Vision 2030. Under Dr. Al Fayyadh’s leadership, KFSHRC has steadily advanced towards its aspirations, materializing in its being ranked #1 in the Middle East and North Africa and #15 globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers according to Brand Finance, in addition to being recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Middle East. KFSHRC is also named one of the World’s Best Smart Hospitals by Newsweek magazine for 2025. Prior to his appointment as CEO of KFSHRC in 2017, Dr. Al Fayyadh was advisor to the Director of the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. He is a pediatric cardiologist/electrophysiologist who obtained his medical degree from King Saud University, completed residency at Tufts University and fellowship at Columbia University, New York. He pursued sub-specialty fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and later obtained his master’s degree in medical management from the University of Southern California. Early in his career and in parallel with his clinical practice and academic contributions, Dr. Al Fayyadh was awarded research grants including those from the Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
