Dr. Haifa Shen is CEO and Co-Founder @MicroX Pharmaceutics, a biotechnology company focusing on solving bottleneck problems in nucleic acid-based drug development, primarily on stability of mRNA molecules and delivery of mRNA therapeutics. Before entering the biopharma industry, he served as Professor of Nanomedicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Founding Director of the Innovative Therapeutics Program in Houston Methodist Cancer Center. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Genetics, Science Immunology, Science Advances, and 20+ patents in relation to genomics, immunobiology, and pharmaceutics. One of such inventions, the Lipopolyplex (LPP) delivery platform, has been successfully applied to develop multiple clinical stage products.
