Gregg Talbert, Senior VP - Head of Transactions and Digital Partnering for Roche/Genentech, leads teams responsible for the negotiation of pharmaceutical partnerships and the search, evaluation and execution of digital healthcare partnerships. Under Gregg’s leadership the Digital Partnering team has been responsible for the execution of more than 80 partnerships to advance the company’s R&D efforts through the use of digital technologies, AI and data assets. Gregg joined Roche in January of 2015 as Head of Strategic Partnering where his team was responsible for the landscaping and assessment of M&A targets, and leading strategic projects related to external innovation and partnering.
Previously Gregg was Senior Director of Diabetes Strategy and Business Development for
Eli Lilly. He also served in a number of licensing and M&A leadership roles at Lilly, including Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, where he played a key role in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating major transactions, including Lilly’s acquisitions of ImClone, ICOS, SGX Pharmaceuticals, and Janssen Animal Health. He previously held a number of sales and marketing roles within the semiconductor industry.
Gregg earned an MBA and Ph.D. in Decision Sciences from Duke University, and he holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
