Erika Smith is the CEO of EpiTET Therapeutics, Inc, a Yale University spin out developing an oral approach to selectively targeting pathogenic macrophages as a key driver in chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Previously as CEO of ReNetX Bio she led the company from preclinical through Phase 2 clinical studies to exit. She serves as Board Chair of the Emerging Company Section and is on the Executive Committee of the BIO. She launched three investment funds (JNJ and Yale) resulting in a number of successful exits. She co-authored a playbook “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs” sponsored by JPMorgan Chase, is a featured TEDx speaker on Reimaging Risk. She holds a Bachelors in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering (BE) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Vanderbilt University. Last February she summited Kilimanjaro (highest peak in Africa - 19,341 ft) as part of the Timmerman Traverse collectively raising $1.2m for cancer research.
