Dr Deborah Dunsire is a Senior Advisor to Blackstone Lifesciences. She is involved in the sourcing, assessment and actioning of new investment opportunities and also chairs the portfolio company Neurvati Neurosciences Before joining BXLS, Dr. Dunsire was CEO and President of H. Lundbeck A/S, a neuroscience focused company located in Denmark. She has also been CEO of Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Takeda Oncology, FORUM Pharmaceuticals and XTuit Pharmaceuticals. These companies focused in Oncology, Immunology and rare diseases. She has lived and worked across the US, Europe, Africa and Asia. She currently serves on the boards of McKesson, Ultragenyx and Vima Therapeutics. Previous boards include Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Syros Pharmaceuticals and Alexion. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Whitehead Institute of MIT, Northeastern University, Museum of Science Boston and the Termeer Foundation. She graduated summa cum lauda with a medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. She holds a certificate in AI in Business Strategy from MIT.
