Darren Johnson is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a distinguished career in hematology, oncology, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Currently serving as a Medical Science Liaison at Vor Bio, Darren plays a key role in clinical trial development, patient advocacy, and advancing competitive intelligence in the fields of transplant and leukemia. With over a decade of experience, Darren has contributed significantly to renowned institutions such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Sarah Cannon Center for Blood Cancers, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His roles include leading survivorship and sickle cell anemia clinics and delivering exceptional care to both pediatric and adult patients undergoing high-risk treatments like autologous and allogeneic transplants. Darren is also an active researcher and published author in peer-reviewed journals, with topics ranging from stem cell transplantation to innovative therapeutic techniques. As a survivor of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a type of bone marrow cancer, Darren has been an influential leader in the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT), serving as Chair of the Advanced Practice Provider Special Interest Group and contributing to initiatives focused on survivorship and stewardship. Darren also served on the Executive Board for Boston’s 2024 Light the Night fundraising event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health Education from the American College of Education, Darren holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University. His dedication to advancing patient care, education, and advocacy continues to make a lasting impact on the medical community.
