Chan’s career spans more than 25 years in public health, government, and the biopharmaceutical industry. He has worked with nearly every major pharmaceutical company, U.S. health agency, and global health organization to align priorities and accelerate the development and deployment of lifesaving vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics. He served as a Special Assistant to the President for Biothreats, where he helped shape national preparedness policy, and was a key architect behind Operation Warp Speed—one of the most ambitious vaccine development and distribution efforts in history. He is also the co-founder of SaponiQx, a next-generation vaccine adjuvant company valued at $250 million. Earlier in his career, he led Global Public Health practices and Federal Health practices at leading management consulting firms, advising governments and global institutions on pandemic response, supply chains, and strategic transformation.
