Dr Carolyn Mountford MSc(Oxon) D.Phil(Oxon) MS(Harv) had appointments at Oxford and Harvard and was made Full Harvard Professor of Medicine in Radiology in 2011. Her team has been a worldwide development site for Siemens Healthineers since 1999. From 2015 to 2020 Carolyn was CEO and Director of Research at the Translational Research Institute of Australia (two Hospitals and two Universities). She successfully led multidisciplinary teams to develop MR technology to address unmet clinical needs requested by clinicians and Departments of Defense in USA & Australia. These included an objective means to diagnose and monitor treatment for chronic pain, PTSD & exposure to blast funded by USA CTTSO. Carolyn led the first team to develop data mining from well controlled clinical data bases known today as Data Recognition. In 2019 she cofounded DatChem Pty Ltd and the datamining approach is now operational with automated pipelines, to assess magnetic resonance spectra of the human brain and breast before evaluation by data mining and data recognition. DatChem has a large portfolio of patents and IP. A ten-year longitudinal breast study, of over 400 women, has demonstrated the veracity of DatChem technology to predict breast cancers (35/35 ) 2-6 year ahead of current practices.
