Caroline Stark Beer was most recently Chief Business Officer at Jnana Therapeutics until Jnana’s sale to Otsuka Pharmaceutical. Caroline led the team responsible for business development, alliance management, legal contracts, new product planning and communications. During Caroline’s tenure, Jnana entered into two major research collaborations with Roche and ultimately engaged in a robust M&A process, which concluded with the sale to Otsuka. Prior to Jnana, Caroline spent eleven years at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, with her final role there as the Head of Business Development. Caroline drove many deal processes and executed a wide range of transactions, including Alnylam’s major collaboration with Regeneron. Earlier in her career, Caroline also worked in business development at Amicus Therapeutics and as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company.
