Carol Richardson is Head of Sustainability and Health Equity in the US for Teva Pharmaceuticals and a member of Teva’s Global Sustainability Leadership Team. She leads the US Sustainability Steering Committee, driving Teva’s global Healthy Future sustainability strategy locally.
Carol oversees Teva’s US initiatives focused on access to medicine, health equity and social impact to support underserved patients and communities. She developed Teva’s award-winning Community Routes: Access to Mental Health Care program for uninsured patients with depression and anxiety attending free and charitable clinics in collaboration with non-profit partners. Carol serves as President of the Teva Cares Foundation patient assistance program.
Prior to joining Teva, Carol was a member of the extended Social Business Innovation Leadership Team at Merck with a focus on key ESG business drivers, including access and health equity. Before Merck, Carol developed the first corporate responsibility strategy at Zoetis.
Trained as a healthcare professional, Carol has extensive experience developing partnerships with patient advocacy organizations and establishing health outcome programs. She began her career in the National Health Service in the UK, holds a Master of Science degree from New York University and earned a certificate in Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility from London Business School.
