Ben Rossen is Associate General Counsel of AI Policy and Regulation at OpenAI, where he leads on a variety of AI governance and policy initiatives for the legal team, including advising on the EU AI Act, the President's Executive Order on AI, and the regulation of frontier models. Ben also advises on a wide range of consumer protection and AI safety issues. Before joining OpenAI, Ben was a senior attorney in the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, served on the Energy & Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and practiced litigation at several leading law firms and clerked in the Eastern District of New York.
