Andy Griffin is a strategic and pragmatic cybersecurity leader with more than 25 years of experience assessing global threat landscapes, developing secure practices, and managing security technologies. As Chief Information Security Officer for Charles River Laboratories, Andy is entrusted to oversee global information security, IT compliance, and global data privacy. Over the past decade, he has designed and led organizational strategies to build Charles River’s ISO 27001 and 27018 certified programs, demonstrating information security as a top priority at the company and for customers. In 2023, Forbes magazine recognized these efforts and named Charles River as one of “America’s Most Cybersecure Companies,” and the most cybersecure company in the research and development industry. Andy, as co-executive sponsor, was instrumental in developing Charles River’s Global Privacy Program. Prior to joining Charles River, Andy worked in technology roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where he helped bring early commercial products to market.
