Allison Kean, MD, FACC, FAHA is a board-certified cardiologist and serves as a Global Business Development Search and Evaluation Team Leader at Pfizer. In this role, she oversees sourcing and due diligence for potential Business Development opportunities across a variety of therapeutic areas including Pfizer’s Internal Medicine business. Since joining Pfizer, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in both Medical and Business Development including participation on Pfizer’s CV Safety Council, chairing the Lipitor Investigator-Initiated Research Program, and leading due diligence for licensing and acquisition transactions including the 2022 acquisition of Biohaven Pharmaceuticals. She also serves as a Board Observer at Swiss immune-tolerance company Anokion following Pfizer’s equity investment via the Pfizer Breakthrough Growth Initiative. Allison received her B.A. as a Thomas Jefferson Scholar from the University of Virginia and her M.D. from Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Northwestern University. In addition to her corporate leadership, she maintained clinical privileges at UCLA Medical Center where served on the faculty of the UCLA Cardiomyopathy and Transplant Center since 2003. As a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association, she remains committed to mentorship and leadership development through her ongoing Board service at the Harvard Kennedy School.
