I am focused on identifying novel therapeutic targets for drug discovery to improve healthcare. I lead a team that uses genetic association data to identify genes underlying disease. We then use state of the art algorithms to characterize these targets and address key questions in drug development, such as understanding their molecular mechanism of action and on-target safety indications. I completed my PhD in Human Genetics at Vanderbilt University, and have a computational background. Much of my previous work was focused on understanding the genetics of gene regulation.
