Dr. Alaskar earned his MBBS from King Saud University and completed his medical training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, where he obtained both the Canadian and American Boards in Internal Medicine and in Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation. With a distinguished tenure at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), Dr. Alaskar leadership has been pivotal in fostering an environment where biomedical innovation thrives. He has led a team dedicated to groundbreaking R&D and has been at the center of the development and implementation of biotechnology in the KSA. Furthermore, Dr. Alaskar established programs in oncology and stem cell transplantation, as well as cellular therapy, that serve as national benchmarks. His collaborative approach has been instrumental in launching the Saudi Stem Cell Donor Registry and a national cord blood bank, reflecting commitment to advancing healthcare and biotechnology.
