The wave of federal reporting obligations related to cyber events requires many businesses, including life sciences companies, to revamp their cybersecurity programs. In March 2022, President Biden signed into law the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act of 2022 (CIRCIA) requiring covered entities to report covered cyber incidents and ransomware payments to CISA. This session will allow the life sciences community to hear directly from government agencies responsible for developing CIRCIA's implementing regulations about who is "critical infrastructure,"what is a "cyber incident,"what will be required, timing and the impact of these new requirements. The panel also aims to share pro tips about what can be done proactively to meet these new obligations.
