NIH's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program provides over $1.3 billion of non-dilutive capital to small businesses and entrepreneurs to develop commercialized services, life science products, digital health, and devices to further the NIH’s health and research mission. In recent years, NIH SBIR’s programs have set up various technical assistance programs and specific funding opportunities to support health equity by focusing on minority health and other populations experiencing health disparities (e.g., rural, low socioeconomic status, people with disabilities). This panel will feature NIH program officials and funded companies who will provide a perspective on how they utilize these resources to found and grow their life science.
