Japan is one of the leading countries capable of creating advanced innovations, as evidenced by the number of Nobel laureates, publication and IPs. The same is true in the bioindustry sector in Japan. In recent years, ecosystem formation has become enormously important in social implementation from academia-originated discovery and invention. This presentation will highlight our efforts to form a huge bioecosystem around Greater Tokyo area including 8 innovation hubs. We will also introduce BioJapan, a partnering event which JBA organizes as an infrastructure to promote the communication and collaboration with domestic and overseas players in the bioindustry field.
