Profit and Access: Groundbreaking Strategies to Make Medicines Available in Resource-Challenged Markets
June 16, 2025
Breakout Session

There is much to be said for the humanitarian impulse to expand access to life-saving medicines in resource challenged geographies, but the realities on the ground tell us that the humanitarian impulse is simply not enough. Healthcare challenges abound in low- and middle-income countries. The growth of non-communicable diseases (oncology, cardio-vascular, diabetes, etc.) alone is staggering, yet the latest breakthrough medicines are not reaching most people in need.
This panel will address the hurdles innovators face in dealing with the complexity of doing business in resource-challenged countries and discuss new ideas for enabling the reach of their innovations to the broadest group of patients in need.
