June 16, 2025
Breakout Session

Healthcare AI as we know it is evolving at a rapid pace, with major tech company initiatives, overheated equity investment and the next generation of innovation fanning the flames. How can NIH and major stakeholders best deal with arguably the most promising healthcare development in decades and maximize patient benefit against the headwinds of adoption, integration, policy, inclusion, and understanding?
Along with promise comes pressure. Key players continue to experience challenges in comprehending and navigating complexities inherent in AI adoption and integration. Healthcare stakeholders see the benefit – from decreased time and cost to predictive analytics and improved patient access. However, they face numerous headwinds – including implementation and integration, data security, data bias, and sufficient comprehension. The solutions will come from strategic partnerships. The result will be converting theoretical applications to practical ones in the real world and thus bring impactful benefits to healthcare. This session will provide a thorough and engaging discussion about how best to address the difficult hurdles facing this transformative technology.
