European Innovation Council

​The EIC serves as the European Union's premier programme to identify, develop, and scale up breakthrough technologies and innovations. With a budget of €10 billion for 2021-2027, the EIC aims to position Europe at the forefront of global innovation by supporting visionary researchers, startups, and SMEs throughout the innovation lifecycle. ​ The EIC offers a comprehensive suite of programs:​ EIC Pathfinder: Funds advanced research to develop the scientific basis for breakthrough technologies.​ EIC Transition: Supports the maturation and validation of novel technologies and the development of business cases for commercialization.​ EIC Accelerator: Provides substantial financial support and investments to startups and SMEs to develop and scale up game-changing innovations.​ Beyond funding, the EIC fosters a dynamic innovation ecosystem by facilitating connections between innovators, investors, and corporates.​
