Obesity is one of the major health concerns across the globe. The available ,medications are mostly working on appetite which can lead to malnutrition in long term. To address this global concern, Utopia Therapeutics is pioneering first-of-its kind vaccine for chronic diseases - Obesity. Several animal studies with our vaccine have shown > 40% reduction in visceral fat, loss of body weight, reduction in fatty liver in high fat diet induced obese models, within 8 weeks time. Safety profile is well established in animal models and we are moving towards with IND filing in Q4 of 2025. To accelerate our program, we are actively looking for strategic partners to collaborate.
The vaccine targets fatty acid metabolism directly in adipose and liver tissues. The target antigen protein for the vaccine is a validated target with high degree of tissue specificity for adipose and liver. The vaccine does not affect food intake/appetite with potential first dose and booster every few months.
