UTokyo IPC, the venture investment arm of the University of Tokyo, was established in 2016 to accelerate the development and growth of startups from not only within Japan, but also from overseas, including the US and European countries. With three funds totaling ~$400 million under management, we actively seek new startups, investment opportunities, and both in- and out-licensing partnerships for our portfolio companies.
As one of the AMED Certified Venture Capitals, UTokyo IPC also utilizes Japan’s AMED V-Eco Matching Fund system to support early-stage life science ventures.
