RNAConnect is a life science tools company providing enzymatic solutions for RNA research.
Our first product, UltraMarathonRT® (uMRT), is a next generation reverse transcriptase (RT). It overcomes the limitations of other RTs, namely their limited ability to copy structured RNAs, repeat sequences or create full length cDNAs from long or low abundance RNA templates. RTs are the ‘filter’ through which we see the transcriptome. Their limitations mean that whole sections of RNA biology are largely invisible. uMRT addresses this as it copies every RNA transcript end-to-end regardless of length, structure, sequence or abundance.
For the end-user, uMRT provides the ability to detect genes, transcripts, alternative splicing, RNA isoforms and intron retention events that are ‘invisible’ to legacy RTs. This provides more unbiased data for drug target identification, biomarker discovery, pandemic viral surveillance, single-cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics.
