Founded in 1946, OMRF is a nonprofit biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding and curing human disease. Our scientists focus on critical research areas such as genes and human disease, autoimmunity, heart disease, cancer, and aging.
OMRF has a strong track record of making laboratory breakthroughs that have a tangible impact on human health. Our discoveries have led to the development of drugs and diagnostic tests used worldwide, notably, Xigris (by Eli Lilly), Adakveo (by Novartis), Solaris (by Alexion), Ceprotin (by Baxter), Vectra DA (LabCorp) and aiSLE DX (Progentec).
