Program for VCs & start-ups;
AMED introduces a remarkable program named “Strengthening Program for Pharmaceutical Startup Ecosystem”, which is operated based on a fund created with a subsidy of JPY 350 billion. This program supports pharmaceutical startups for development and commercialization in overseas markets in addition to Japan, especially those engaged in non-clinical, Phase I and Phase II clinical trials on the condition that they also receive funding from venture capital firms registered by AMED (hereinafter referred to as “Registered VC”). In this One-on-one matching event, AMED is particularly interested in overseas venture capital firms as potential Registered VCs.
