BreakSight’s mission is to enable the discovery of novel DNA biomarkers of response to targeted therapeutics. We achieve this by harnessing a new technology to unveil defined sequence-specific maps of DNA breakage across a cell’s genome, revealing DNA-damaging mechanisms of cancer therapeutics with high resolution and specificity.
Our technology tags, retrieves, and localizes DNA double-stranded breaks in cells exposed to acute DNA damage-inducing treatments with site-specific precision. Identifying regions of DNA breakage throughout the cell’s genome lays the foundation for mechanistic insights related to a DNA-damaging drug’s effect on the cancer genome and the discovery of new DNA sequence biomarkers that can predict therapeutic response.
As one of the first commercial assays of its kind, our streamlined services offer deeper insights into mechanisms of genomic instability and DNA damage that can expand biomarker discovery for targeted cancer drugs to the rest of the genome.
