Fight of Our Lives - Screening: The People and Breakthroughs Changing What’s Possible
June 25, 2026
Storytelling Stage (Booth #3035)
Type: Storytelling Stage Session
Every breakthrough in biotechnology begins with a moment that changes everything - a diagnosis, a test result, or a question without answers. Fight of Our Lives is BIO’s national storytelling campaign that brings these moments to life, highlighting the patients, families, and scientists working to turn uncertainty into hope through innovation.
Join BIO‘s Chief Communications Officer Sarah Alspach for a screening that showcases the human impact—and perspective—behind today’s most important scientific advances. The session will open with the campaign’s anthemic video, followed by three individual patient stories:
Ben – A young boy whose rare genetic condition prevented his body from recognizing fullness, until a targeted therapy transformed his life and future.
Katy – A survivor of a life-threatening, antibiotic-resistant infection who now advocates for innovation to combat superbugs and improve future treatment options.
Marci – A woman who in 2024 became the first patient ever to receive CAR-T cell therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS). Since receiving treatment, Marci’s MS has responded in ways once considered impossible.
